Welcome Message
Dear colleagues

On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committees, we are pleased to invite you to the 17th International Conference on New Trends in Fatigue and Fracture (NT2F17), to be held in Cancún, México, from 25-27 October 2017.

The NT2F Conference is one of the major conferences in fatigue, fracture, and structural integrity. Since 2001, the Conference has been successfully carried out around the world, especially in the European Continent. This year, the NT2F17 will be organized for the first time in Mexico.

The objective of the NT2F17 conference is to bring together scientists and engineers to study, analyze, predict and assess the fatigue and fracture of structural materials and components. The NT2F17 has been organized in five major symposia, including:

S1. Fatigue and fracture mechanics of structures and advanced materials
S2. Fatigue and fracture in pressure vessels and pipelines
S3. Mechanical behavior and structural integrity of welded, bonded and bolted joints
S4. Residual stresses and environmental effects on the fatigue behavior
S5. Simulation methods, analytical and computational models in fatigue and fracture

NT2F17 would be an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and get acquainted with the state of the art on fatigue and fracture mechanics, and promote cooperation among scientists and experts from university, industry and government.

Cancun is located to one side of the northeastern end of Yucatan peninsula. The atoll has more than 20 km long. Cancun's location on the Yucatan peninsula makes it readily accessible to some of the most important Mayan archeological sites. The duration of the flight from Mexico City to Cancun is around 2 h. Nestled on the eastern coast of the vast, mysterious Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun is Mexico's number one tourist destination.

We will be very pleased to welcome you in Cancun, México. We trust you will have a great professional as well as personal experience.

History of the NT2F Conference
The NT2F Conference was founded by the Laboratoire de Fiabilité de Mécanique (LMF) of the Metz University, France in 2000. Through the years, the purpose of this conference has been to stablish the philosophy for discussion to analyze the trends in terms of fatigue, fracture and structural integrity from scientific and technical understandings. Since 2001, the NT2F conference has been carried out successfully every year. This occasion the NT2F17 will be held in Cancun, Mexico. Previous NT2F has been carried on:
